Bradford Morrow

Novelist and Conjunctions editor Bradford Morrow discusses his relationship with the work of science fiction author James Tiptree Jr. (aka Alice Sheldon) and reads a letter from Tiptree to fellow SF writer Joanna Russ.

On January 11, 2017, the Lesbian Herstory Archives in Brooklyn, NY, celebrated Conjunctions:67, Other Aliens with a reading from the historic selection of letters from Tiptree to Russ that appeared in that issue (in which which all but one letter made their first appearance in print).

Bradford Morrow is the founding editor of Conjunctions. He is the author of ten books of fiction, including Trinity Fields, Giovanni’s Gift (both Viking), The Forgers (Grove Atlantic/Mysterious Press), and The Prague Sonata (Atlantic Monthly Press). He is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship in fiction, an Academy Award in literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the PEN/Nora Magid Award for excellence in editing a literary journal.
