Biography

French novelist, poet, and critic Claude Simon (1913–2005) received the 1985 Nobel Prize in Literature. His many works available in English translation include The Grass (George Braziller), The Flanders Road (Riverrun Pr), The Palace (George Braziller), Histoire (Les Éditions de Minuit), Conducting Bodies (Grove Pr), Triptych (Riverrun Pr), The Georgics (Riverrun Pr), The Invitation (Dalkey Archive Press), and The Acacia (Pantheon).
