Biography

Heather Altfeld is a poet and essayist. Her two books of poetry are Post-Mortem (Orison Books) and The Disappearing Theatre (Poets at Work). won the Poets at Work Book Prize, selected by Stephen Dunn. Her contribution to Conjunctions:70, Sanctuary: The Preservation Issue, “Obituary for Dead Languages,” was selected for the 2019 Best American Essays. She currently lives in Northern California.
