Biography

Melissa Pritchard’s novel about Florence Nightingale, Flight of the Wild Swan, was published by Bellevue Literary Press in March 2024. Author of twelve books, she has received three Pushcart Prizes, two O. Henry Awards, the Flannery O’Connor and Carl Sandburg Awards, an NEA, the Janet Kafka Fiction Prize and a Barnes and Noble Discover Great Writers Prize. She lives in Columbus, Georgia and is currently the fiction editor for IMAGE: Art, Faith, Mystery.
