Bill Bamberger’s work explores large cultural and social issues of our time. His first book, Closing: The Life and Death of an American Factory (DoubleTake/Norton), won the Mayflower Prize in Non-Fiction and was a semi-finalist for the Robert F. Kennedy Book Award. He has been widely published in both photography journals such as Aperture and general interest periodicals including Harper’s, Esquire, and the New York Times Magazine. He currently teaches at Duke University’s Center for Documentary Studies.
