Sandra Cisneros is an award-winning poet, short-story writer, novelist, essayist, performer, and artist. Her novel The House on Mango Street (Arte Público) has been translated into over twenty-five languages and will have its premiere as an opera at the Glimmerglass Festival in summer 2025. Her most recent collection of poetry, Woman without Shame (Knopf/Vintage), was published in 2022.
