Shira Dentz is the author of five books including SISYPHUSINA (Astrophil), winner of the Eugene Paul Nassar Prize, door of thin skins (CavanKerry), the sun a blazing zero (Lavender Ink), black seeds on a white dish (Shearsman), and how do i net thee (Salmon Poetry), as well as the chapbook FLOUNDERS (Essay Press). She is the recipient of awards including an Academy of American Poets Prize, Poetry Society of America’s Lyric Poem and Cecil Hemley awards, and an NEA/NYS Arts Grant 2025, and her creative work has been recognized with fellowships from MacDowell.
